Purpose (Tujuan) : To retell the event or experience to give enternient or to give information.

Type of recount (Jenis-Jenis Recount) :
1. Personal Recount.
Example : Diary Entry, biography.
2. Factual Recount.
Example : Police Report, news.
3. Imaginary Recount.

Generic Structure of Recount :
- Personal + Imaginary Recount :

1. Orientation (tell who, when, where).
2. Events (Kejadian / tell what happened).
3. Re-Orientation (conclusion / comment or evaluation).

- Factual Recount :

1. Orientation.
2. Events.

Language Feature :

1. Past Tense (Past Verb).
2. Adjective (kata sifat) : Pathetic, happy, sad.
3. Conjunction (kata hubung) : but, or, etc.
4. Adverb (kata keterangan), baik waktu, tempat, atau cara : Suburb of Sydney.
